Cape FIrst Worship signed to Devotion Music

Cape First Church is not the typical worship center one might expect to find nestled along the banks of the Mississippi River in the quiet Missouri countryside. With love in their hearts, its members have taken the beauty of faith to create a ministry that touches the live of people from all walks of life.

Greeted by the joyful sound of Cape First Worship, the church’s worship team, visitors enjoy a truly personal celebration of God’s love through music. Led by music minister Brent Anderson, the group boasts an impressive list of talent with one thing in common, their love for the Lord.

After receiving endless encouragement from friends and family, Anderson knew it was time to expand the group’s ministry and share the love of God with people beyond the physical walls of their church.

Through the grace of God, the 13 members of Cape First Worship were introduced to Grammy-nominated White Heart founder and Devotion Music Producer Billy Smiley. Excitement filled the air as the two sides discussed the project at hand. Thrilled by the group’s passion for the Lord and heart-felt music, Smiley quickly signed them to the Devotion Music record label.

“I wanted to create an album that would be relevant to the lives of people today. There is so much distraction in the world that sometimes we just have to step back and take a break to remember what really matters, our relationship with God,” said Anderson.

Cape First Worship immediately began work on their debut album entitled “To Know Your Heart.” Anderson wanted the group’s music to reach beyond denominational barriers and focus the group’s creative talents and faith to make something to which all people could relate.

The album, which is scheduled to be released on September 16, 2008, will be available in stores nationwide. As an added bonus, a DVD with a full-length music video, live performance footage and interviews with Brent Anderson will be included with each album.
